Livetofish how do you like the flyrod you won,would like to hear a report.Have you had a chance to use it

I'll let Dasu answer as to how he likes it, but I have the rod back, fixin' to sand the wraps and put another coat of varnish on them. It'll look muuuch better to my eyes when I'm done.
We cast it with a silk line, though didn't have much room to do it. That particular silk was a DT 4, and just a little on the light side for that rod.

LOL. That is true and he's one hell of a guy. I've known him a few years and he's one of the best carpenters I've ever known. He's from Spain and grew up learning carpentry there and in France, Germany, etc. He's got some styles that are quite impressive. He's also got a talent for woodburning and etching/carving incredible designs. I'll photo my fly kit/box when he gets done with it and post it.
