Camping trip??

Post by kayak angler »

I enjoyed yesterday's get together at Medina Lake so much I was wondering if the chapter would be interested in doing a camping trip to a state park? Something like Choke Canyon, Kerrville or Goose Island or some other place we could paddle and camp and tell lies around the campfire? I know everyone's not a camper, just an idea. What do y'all think?

At our next outting I hope to spend more time getting to know everyone. I wasn't able to give the attention to my fellow TKFers yesterday due to my family being there. I'm happy they were there, but between them and wanting to fish I didn't get to sit around and "tell lies" like I'd like too.

It really was great meeting everyone. I hope lot's of "fishing buddies" were made yesterday. I look forward to seeing y'all at the water

I'd go. Make sure the skeeters don't know we're going.

Would this be a "bring a kid" event? No, not all five.

Choke Canyon sounds good to me. I've never been there but have wanted to go. I hear there are alligators in that lake. That would be cool to see from the seat of a kayak  .....or not!

I think families would be cool to include. My wife and son love to camp.

What about mid to late June for a time frame?
