Here is the marine Forecast:
Saturday
North winds 20 to 25 knots decreasing to 15 to 20 knots in the afternoon. Seas 4 to 5 feet.
Do not go the the Houston Ship Channel on the East end of Galveston when the wind is out of the North!!!

There already has been a kayaker rescued by the Coast Guard this week, let's not tempt fate to cause another rescue or worse.

Normally, HI is protected from the North wind for about 2-300 yards......then it can get bad. Often the North wind will lay the HI surf down too.sherwood wrote:What about H.I.? I guess it doesn't matter what direction the wind is coming from, it'll be a pain to paddle back to shore..
