Yes it does.
The thing about the GD forum is this... Most of us have been there discussing religion and politics for 10 years or more.. It's an election year and we have a lot of youngsters with great ideas coming on board and they don't deal with opposing views on a given subject very well. It turns into threats, personal attacks/insults, etc rather than honestly debating the topic based on its merits.
Nothing against them. Everyone of us was a young idealist at one time but the new folks get heated and end up crossing "the line"...
It's ok.. We'll let things cool down a while and maybe in a month or so, start allowing new members.
Right now, it's just a lot on my plate for me to handle between the forums I moderate and the GD forum that needs CONSTANT attention.. LOL

Yeah today they were all talking about 2 teens that got verbally abused, racially and then the post went to GD because they all started talking about they're CHL's and how they would use their guns yade yade yada all trying to be tough guys, and that my friend is why our prisons are so full, cause guys have to prove themselves, I don't have to and don't want to, I have to be puuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuushed, but these guys are all hair triggers, talking about waving unloaded guns and stuff pure ignorance, I won't even let my sons have a BB pistol cause I tell them they're too real and wave one around our apartments and these Cedar Park cops will kill you

Yeah, things get heated there... It's amazing how far folks will go but I understand their passion and their desire to right a wrong. I appreciate it as a former Austin police officer.. But folks don't always understand how words on a message board can be misconstrued and so we have to "moderate" the boards and try to keep things in perspective. I try to do it with humor though... LOL...
I think there is too much laughter out there not being laughed. LOL
