First top water redfish

Post by 3rd_Coast_Yaker »

So, I never really gave top water lures a chance and decided to see what all the fuss was about. CoastieCulture and my self got on the water just after day break and the water was calm and low winds so we went to work. Fun day and hope yall enjoy the video. Thanks.

Congratulations!! Good feeling, isn't it? Now just wait for the first time you get an aggressive strike from a 5 lb trout on a topwater.

Nothing better in my opinion that a red blowin up all over your topwater. It'll keep you going time and again. Nice work.

Congratulations on the top water first. What kind of PFD are you wearing, the cost, and where do I get one? My yak has a high back seat and i think it would be comfortable. Thanks!

I caught my first redfish on artificial 2 weeks ago in crystal clear super skinny water. I ended up catching 6 total and it was a rush like I have never had.

I would rather miss a red that blows (often more than once) up on a topwater , than land one on a jig.
