Upper Pecos River Report
Upper Pecos River Report
I am camped at Brantley Lake in New Mexico. The Pecos River runs through the park forming Brantley lake. Due to all the rain in the area Brantley has risen about two feet in two days. They are not releasing any serious water as of tonight and the lake has lots more space for water. However Carlsbad is below the dam and has been getting even more rain than us and that water will be heading for Amistad for the next couple of days. Be careful around the Pecos, it might get a bit big with all the storms out here.

Re: Upper Pecos River Report
Rain? Pecos River? I'm outta here!!!
Thanks for the report. Have you had a chance to do any fishing up there. I've never done any around that area, so just curious of how, where, and what's good. I know with the rain it's tough right now, but wasn't sure if you got to before it all came down.
No day trips to Sitting Bull Falls yet?

Lots of fish being caught here in Brantley, just not by me. Without a boat you are really hampered at this lake.
Hoping for sun for a trip to SBFalls. It is a great place to have a camera.
