Saturday was ideal with very low winds and smooth gulf waters. Tod and I stopped at a new spot we had located in our exploring and it proved to be holding some good fish. I saw my first leatherback turtle, a massive specimen that must have weighed above 750 lbs, but it dove before I could turn the camera around. Caught some solid snapper and a toad king, then nearly ran my heavy kayak into a loggerhead in the surf. It was a good day!

It was pretty cool that you were able to capture on video that sea turtle in the surf when coming back in. Nice king!!

Great video, it helps me a lot, being new to kayak fishing, see how to manage multiple rods/fish solo.

The top was clean, but the deeper water was dirty, probably because of all the recent rains? I think that might be why the snapper were slow to bite down there.Killerbee wrote:Loved it Prof! That water looked really dirty!?
