The time is now

Just want to give everyone a heads up that may not live on the coast; We have finally had a good tide push and a few drops of rain. The tide is the highest I’ve seen it in months, and believe this push of fresh gulf water will fire the fish up over the next few days… Highly recommend you get out there, oh and the wind is low too. I’ve had great success on a big tide push in the middle of the summer, and if the wind stays low as well it only adds to it. I’ll be off in a marsh somewhere with a topwater hunting.

Lots of cooler gulf water pouring in at Port Aransas.

Yep agree. High pressure is forecast to move back over the state and the hot temps will and falling tides will follow.

Looks to me like the unseasonable higher tides already flushed out completely..

In Rockport water still about 10” higher than it was pre-TS Hilary.

Also I just saw an updated forecast and the high pressure is now forecast to slide off towards the four corners region which should result in water levels being higher than they were.

So true. This high pressure (SW winds) has killed fishing for me; this summer and last.

The last few months have been brutal. I went the last two weekends and there was a slight difference between the two. Spring is trying to make its way in, but summer is holding strong for September.
