Possible Record Blue Cat

Post by Fla-Fish »

Hit the Bayou again on Sun. It is only 1 hr from my house and you never know what you will catch there.

Had this Hog certified this morning at 32.5" and 18.20lbs.
NavyNuke holds the record at 16.66lbs.

Caught 4 small 0nes @ 20" saw a huge @ 8' Gator
and caught this big Blue Cat.

That is Bay Area park and that catfish is nice but not that huge. I have caught several there 20+lbs, I wish I knew they had a record book for them.

I met another TKFr out there while fishing one day.

Don't be like that. There are always records for any given body of water.

Thanks Gum did not know it was that big until the next day.
I don't think Ryan knows yet, I sent him an e-mail. He works
like 80hrs a week. That's what happens when you Graduate
and go to work full time. When you doing that
Sure was a long paddle back dragging that hog. OK I only
paddled half way back through all the stumps.

I caught it on "Salted Shad" I had some frozen Shad from
Academy the week before and did not want to re-freeze them.
They were weak the 1st time so I put them in coffee cans and
filled them with table salt to dry them out. Made them like rubber.
But I guess it did not hurt the flavor p'bly helped.

Salted Shad my new secret weapon. Mailed the papers last night.
Now just wait and see. I know where I will be this weekend.

Don't want to go alone that 12' Gator looks bigger this year.

I'm just hoping G.F.Y. doesn't stand for what I think it does.

Good cat Steve. And I agree, it was a kinda' sorry to pull the "Wish I would have known the record because I've beat it several times" card.

Here's to you beating you own record this Saturday FlaFish.

Thanks Crank.
Don't know of a good meaning for what he said.
Might be "Good Fish Yea" but I doubt it.
You need to go back to your catfish hole to beat this one.
Good luck.
