STUDY THE PICTURES AND PRE-ASSEMBLE THE CART BEFORE DOING ANY GLUE UP!!!





The glue up:
Glue the axle portion first. Make sure to keep the tees square upright. Glue the uprights into the tees (up) 2 Ό on center tees, 3 on outside tees. Do not glue the caps till the very last step in construction of the cart (in case the width needs to be adjusted for your yak).
Glue up the bunk portion. Glue the 6 Ό pieces into the tees. Set Aside.
Glue up the frame pieces from the 90s to the ↑ 45s. (4 pieces to be attached to the bunks)
90/2 ½/Tee/2 ½/45 ↑
Glue up the frame center pieces (loop or handle pieces)
5/45→/3 Ό/45→/9/45 ←/3 Ό/45←/5
Glue the bunks (Tees) on the uprights of the axle portion. Make sure they are perpendicular to the axle.
Glue the frame pieces to the ends of the bunks. If the bunks are square to the axles they should slide on with little force.
Glue the loops into the upright 45s on the frame.
The cart is finished except for the end caps on the axles.
Drill a 5/8 hole through the center of each end cap. Place the end caps (no glue yet) on each axle end. Insert the 5/8 all thread. Mount wheel on each end of axle. Washer/wheel/washer/lock washer/nut. Tighten the nuts to seat the lock washers. If all looks good then disassemble the axle and glue the caps in place. Reassemble the axle and the cart is ready. Let the cart set for one day to dry the glue before using it.
The cart will easily go through soft sand or gravel/medium size rocks as found at rivers, lakes, or at the beach. The pneumatic wheelbarrow wheels are a bit more expensive than lawnmower wheels but can support more load through the rough stuff.
