Re: Be Careful In POC... PICS

Also - I am not advocating using this TPWD information for any kind of vigilante actions but one can look up the boat owner name if you have the TX number. I have on a couple of occasion used this tool when confronted with repeat offenders that are not necessarily breaking the law but are simply bei...

Re: Be Careful In POC... PICS

I will say that one has to have some pretty damning video for TPWD to get interested in actually filing charges. That said - I feel its worth a phone call to report, especially if you can get the TX number, because if this guy is doing this habitually, or if another fly by goes bad, your report will...

Re: What's the highest wind you've ever been in?

50 - 60 mph in a yak, Redfish Bay, during a strong norther , In June some 15 years ago ! I wasn't in the kayak for very long. Got in a duck blind and then walked to shore when the winds and rain would not let up. I was mother shipping my yak that day and my power boat became un-anchored - It took me...

Re: Shallow reds video (review and a question)

One needs to put in a lot of time on the water to become confident about your ability to find, see and sight cast fish. The biggest mistakes I see anglers making are : -- Going too fast. You have to go slow and look carefully, as with stealth hunting any game. Look for small signs and focus your att...

Re: Lower Laguna Madre

I have not done that trip myself - but I know 2 guys who have each paddled the length of Padre and Mustang Islands. For both, it turned into an ordeal. The flats on the east side of LLM are quite skinny and tide sensitive - you can get into a lot of water where you have to move a long ways west to h...

Though I'm sure we still don't see eye to eye about everything, I feel we anglers can find much common ground to help improve the fishing for all o...
