Re: Suggest A Kayak for the Salt

Fin and feathers talked me out of the one under the center, because if it's on the rudder it improves the steering. I bought one for my my 360 pro. and liked it so much I got one for the wifes revo. I used her revo the other day while letting a friend try the 360. Oh my lord it was fast and lasted a...

Re: Suggest A Kayak for the Salt

I'm a Hobie guy as well, I have 5 different hobbies but the real answer is, any kayak with a rudder add the Texas power paddle. I have had a hobie since 2006 and this is the best add on I have ever bought.

Re: Corpus/Port A area 7/19 7/20

Hey guys, tides been quite low, B&R, LHL and other skinny spots be a rough paddle that may include some dragging...them intermediate flats like Steadman's, Terminal or along the Morris-Cummings should be holding fish... Do it early, take plenty water, its HOT ...G That's good stuff right there!...

Re: North Padre fishing spots?

canals at night, trout hang out just in the darkness from the underwater lights they spook real easy. we had our best luck just going out on commercial breaks casting a few times and going back in, or going light to light. Best lure was a small rapala gold bottom.

Hello Rick, Emigrated from Colorado myself unfortunately I had to return for awhile to take care of business. But I get to come back now and again. Hopefully be there permanently soon. You get your new kayak yet?

Re: Night Time Canal Fishing By JFK Causeway

I used to live on the canals, first the fish spook real easy, so I would suggest fish light to light and then back again the trout hang out just in the dark so you want to fish the edge. Use something quite, like a small rapala worked great for me.

Re: Artifical Bait Suggestions - Fishing Baffin Bay

There is a lot of great info here, but as you have only used artificial once, most take practice and confidence. If you are trying to have a chance The DOA deadly combo is the way to go (IMHO) I have taken a lot of novice people out for the day, and they do pretty well. The key to the popping cork i...

Re: I'm losing my patience

Why can't I catch any fish? I put in at Red Dot Tues afternoon and fished 'til dark with no bites. I paddled out past the island and fished the channel throwing a DOA under a popping cork and a jig with a paddle tail in various colors to no avail. Same story Wed. morning. Even paddled out to where ...

The point system in the Kayak Series make it easier to catch the leaders for A.O.Y. and T.O.Y., Sam Based on the end of the sentence you like that, right? My guess, that would depend on which end someone is currently sitting. Are you saying you think it would help to adjust the point system?

I don't see how one could compare them. Both are totally different formats. People will fish both, or one or the other for various reasons. Different strokes 4 different folks...type thing. Me id rather fish, measure, and string. Rather than have to add aligning the fish, waiting for it stop floppi...

Third coast Vs TSS Tournaments

Now that I've fished both tournaments, I can honestly say I really appreciate the Third coast series more! The raffle and the food make a huge difference. Not to mention the price $75.00 for 3rd coast, $75+$15+$50 for TSS. (Plus Third coast donates the proceeds) For me, the Third coast, Trout and re...
