Re: Short documentary about Liverpool, Tx feat. my Dad
Nice. I worked at the Equistar/Lyondell Plant from 2001 until 2011 when they tore it down. Once a week we would conduct community air monitoring as a good neighbor program. I always enjoyed that drive, as we'd work our way through the area sampling, around the bayou, down to 2004, then back to the p...

Head across over to the Portland side access road and fish under the causeway back towards the new grass flats area. Head on towards the old rv park next to what I guess is the old kayak now jet ski dealership and fish that area. Might also hit the shoreline going Northish from there. That area my ...

Re: Launching from San Luis Pass State Park
I know that you meant the RV park/campground, not the state park...yes you can launch from there but I haven't been up there in years, so things may have changed. I cut my teeth, so to speak, fishing all of that area and marsh around Mud Island. 2 key bits of advice for you: KNOW THE TIDE CHANGE, an...

Right now they are both crap...as my buddy Tombo and I were joking the other weekend, every Texas marsh needs a good Saltwater Enema to flush out all that fresh water still being dumped from inland. Starting with the Guadalupe River, up to the Neches...they have all been dumping copious amounts of f...

Is the whole area a swamp right now or has the river slowed down a bit. I guess the Brazos is nuts with runoff from recent rains and the Colorado might be as nasty? This M T guy will tell you there are no fish anywhere in the whole of "Occupied Mexico". He likes his privacy! :danc...

...That's one fish that will make me leave an area... I'm with you...nothing like casting a topwater to a redfish wake only to get intercepted by a skipcrap and spooking the red in the process. I'd rather fish with kamikaze submarine gar than skipjack...and that's saying a lot. ...and the big ones ...

Re: Lone Star Kayak Series 2016 Event #1
Do you have a list going on the usual suspects, and anyone else entered so far? What is headcount at? As for me, only been out once since early December...and that was in Aransas...so I've got no idea what shape the marshes are in. Oh well, should be a fun even nonetheless. Looking forward to seeing...

I have about $200 in topwater lures that I won from guys like Aggie182, MattyYaker, Tombo, and others earlier this year  If I get them to you in time can you use them? Hold on to them for me, I should be up that way in a few weeks. I'm always replacing lures throughout the year and can add the...

Howdy Y'all...sorry I don't get on the board as much anymore...life has crept up and kept me really busy...I hardly get to fish much outside of LSKS and our HOW events... I just wanted to give a shout out to everyone that has at some point given me fishing related items over the year from the LSKS t...

it changes by week. May want to ask that question a little closer to your trip date.
Another good source of info is to call down to the LCRA campground and ask.

I use 15# on my light spinning reel and 30# on my baitcaster and heavy spinning reel. Yellow-30, and Pink-15 mostly for quick identification, other than that, color doesn't matter to me.

   I know you know about and believe in the program, but I don't know if all the readers truly understand what an impact this program has on the lives of our Servicemen and women... In some cases, Veteran outreach programs like this really are the difference between life and death....
