I wonder that also, We have done the 20 mile trip around 15 times, but i do wonder about that stretch, I hardly ever see any post about that part.

I buy them at bait shops during the winter when I can't get shad so easy=
Around 6 dollars a dozen.

I have wondered about other Brazos spots like this.

The only spots along the Brazos I know of don't have tent camping beside the river, there must be more spots available that I haven't found.

I have done rochells and tres rios before they changed ownership, any more?

I always see what I thought was carp while doing the upper Brazos trip, wondered if anyone targets them?

My son and I saw one today in the Trinity River near Irving, the first time I have ever seen one in the wild.
It was fifty feet or so to the other side where he was at, he came around a bend and "frolicked" down river.
VERY cool thing to see.

Mini x That all depends on the comfort level you like and the way you like to eat. I carry a lot of gear and am super comfortable ,but it just takes 5 minutes to set up camp normally. My suggestion is get your yak and load it at home and then start adding are subtracting. Now Harold Ray goes light ...
