Re: Fishing in Honduras
I'm bringing my rod, reel, and a small selection of clear water lures. Pretty much what you suggested Milkjug. I think I'm going on one guided day trip but the beach is literally outside my door so I gotta bring some stuff with me and give it a shot. Spearfishing is something I haven't thought of bu...

Fishing in Honduras
Hey yall I'm heading to Roatan, Honduras in a few weeks and was wondering if y'all had any tips on lures (color, type, etc.). I'm used to our muddy brown water and don't have much experience in the super clear stuff. I'm looking to do some flats fishing and some BTBing. Thanks in advance!

Re: Late deer season post
Hey BB. I'll drop yall a PM for sure. I think we're going to have an album release party out there in May or June. We usually play at The House of FiFi DuBois. I'll let yall know when we're coming back. And this time I'll bring a fishing pole.

Re: Late deer season post
Hey bigrock, I was actually thinking about you and BB last time I was playing in San Angelo. I really enjoyed hanging out there. The Concho was looking pretty good. I'm bringing my fishing pole next time. Yeah it's my favorite mount that I've got. He was a tough old SOB with an old broken leg and bu...

Hey y'all. Haven't been around these parts for a while but I have a few pictures from last season I thought y'all might enjoy. I'm going to start trying to post more on here like I used to. I miss reading everyone's fishing and hunting stories. First, I finally got my mount back from last years seas...

A buddy showed me that picture and I was skeptical too. It looks bigger than 300 lbs.

The only hazard I've experienced using the lights on my yak is fish jumping out of the water and smacking me in the face as I pass by them.

What's this? An excuse to post a picture of my dogs?? Ok then. :) http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/09/25/f75b76bdf56a57c7fbf2961e66693da8.jpg The lighter colored one there actually ate up two pairs of Costas before he was one. He's good now but the two of them definitely keep each other occupied.

I also have had a lot of luck on that stretch with chatterbaits with a dark paddletail on it.

Re: Colorado River at 973
I've done 973 to Little Webberville a bunch of times. You can definitely do it one day, but you could also take your time and do it as an overnight trip. I've left my truck at 973 a few times (not overnight) but I've also met a lot of unsavory characters there. I wouldn't leave my truck there for lo...

Conviction of Kid Kayak Angler Killer Nears Appeal
Wow that is a horrible story. I had some guy with his kids in the boat aim at me and ask his kids if he should run me over. This was right outside of Eckerts bayou. He wasn't going very fast, which is why I could hear him but it still made me nervous. I had a super spook aimed at him but I doubt tha...

Great end to a great season!
Hey y'all. It's been a while since I've posted up here but I thought y'all might enjoy some "peektures." These are a few from last weekend. My total for the weekend was 1 doe, 2 hogs, 3 ducks, 5 dove, a quail, a coyote and this big fella below. (busy weekend) I've been watching this guy fo...

Cadiyak Sam, I wish you read this post earlier. I live in Pflugerville :) but I guess it is too late now. And as I said I'm hanging my gun for the rest of the season for this~~~ Thank you all for your help and thought... Dang. Well I'm not going anywhere. Don't get too discouraged though. Everyone ...

If you're in the central area (I'm in Austin), send me a PM next time. My dogs would love to help out and they need the practice. Needs to be within 6-8 hours of the shooting though as my Catahoulas are hot trackers.

I would suggest the Cuda 14 as well. It's a great boat. Super stable, high carry capacity, fast and tracks well, and has a lot of space for your gear. And as mentioned above, the seat is super comfy and makes those longer trips more than bearable.

Hey man, fishing, just like life, is an everyday learning experience. And like sky pilot said, sometimes the best memories are in the fighting, not the catching. Good post.
