Re: Sad fish kill

There has been a fish kill here with the cold weather but the FWC has only extended the closed snook, bone fish, and tarpon season until September 30. This means you are not allowed to possess them. I have not been out but chatter is that the Reds and Trouts can be found with abundance since they ca...

Last night was a good night to go to the fishing show it was not very crowded. I was able to talk to a few people about fly casting lessons and a couple of vendors about their products. I was also able to catch up with some friends I had not seen in a while. If you go to the show stop by the KASA b...

It's not 4 wheel drive but that is about the only complaint I have after 5 years. It carries the yaks and fishing gear and does alright on gas mileage. Hopefully, I can another 5 out of it!

CM and I have talked about this a lot and I think the great thing about the Jacksonville tournament is the money goes to charity. I am not sure what the tournaments around here do but I doubt any of them raised $22,000 for a worth while charity. I don't know how it is over there but we went from a ...

Last time we were there three years ago we took turns calling the people we work with and had them bring up the web cam while they were workin' and we were drinkin'. Phoenix Rising

I guess it is time to chime in. I took my new blue phoenix out to highland bayou yesterday morning for its maiden voyage. The wind was blowing a little harder than I would have liked but it made for good testing. I wanted to test my new rig out setup and all. I am still impressed with how these boa...

My First impression of the Hurricane Phoenix is wow! I have wanted to paddle one of these boats since I found out that CM was going to be selling them. I was interested to see if the Trylon material made a big difference now I can say it honestly does. The boat is much lighter, faster, and more man...

I have a percpetion bimini and an illusion I like them both. A rudder is a must on both and maybe on just about any kayak with wind we have on the Texas coast. I just wanted to say that Everett Johnson of Gulf Coast Connections is a class act. Everett was not at the booth and his daughter and wife (by the way both nice people) ...

The darker the beer the better. My top five: 1. Old Peculiar 2. Bell Haven Scottish Ale 3. Rogue Dead Guy Porter 4. Samuel smith's Imperial stout 5. New Belgium 1554 Brussels Ale I have probably neglected a few, the top five is always changing. My dad makes some pretty good beer too! So I shouldn't...
