Is anybody going out tomorrow? Anywhere from Galveston down to Matagorda. Let's hook up and catch some dinner tomorrow. Maybe even a tagged red if the stars align!

Ok, and no I'm in the Richmond/Katy area. Shoot me a text if you can, this is my first time going to that bay and would like to get a better idea of where to go once I launch - not your secret spot, just a general idea. 832-858-6226

Re: Strange day @ McFaddin
It was a strange day for sure! Mythman and I were trying different depths throughout the day to even get the slightest of nibbles. To elaborate on my catch, lets just say I wasn't prepared to take a swim. I didn't have leashes on two of my rods and reels. I lost those for sure. In the midst of the a...

can't go wrong with a remington 870 12 guage I have this gun...870 express 12 guage....It is awesome! But I have noticed after about 45 rounds of shells it tends to stick on me...maybe that is just my gun and not all. I need to get it looked at. How many rounds have you got through it, and describe...

Re: Motion Sickness Patches
No drowsiness problems at all for me. The only side effect I notice is dry mouth and since I drink water and Gatorade non-stop while fishing that isn't a big deal. I live 2 hours from the beach, so before I leave the house, I put the patch on. The first time I used it, I had a problem keeping it on...

The wife and kids will be away for a few days visiting Grandma, aunts, uncles, cousins.... Usually, at family get-togethers, I man the grill and beverage wagon for the whole family. It keeps me outside and out of the gossip zone but Im sitting out this little family gathering. My dear wife is MAKIN...

A response!! Thanks for the input and advice, kind of what I figured. I definitely qualify as a "newbie" but I have been BTB several times, at least enough to know I don't really want to mess with 3-5'!! I have this window though and I can't afford not to fill it, so if worse comes to wor...

First time out I chummed up my chow so hard I fell off my Kayak at the first rig! Dramamine helps me a lot now. Hope you are able to try again on a calmer day. That made me laugh out loud! haha. I always got sick when I went deep sea fishing...Drop bait, chum, 3 cranks, chum, hook fish, chum, reel,...

Re: Galveston 7/14-7/15 61st Pier-Bull Reds Caught (40
Reason you weren't catching coulda been your bait. Sometimes if we're not catching from the piers we will switch baits until we find what they want. Usually depends on what's swimming out there. I switched baits every two hours to see what was working. I also used cut mullet after asking what the g...

Galveston 7/14-7/15 61st Pier-Bull Reds Caught (40"and up)
After asking a few people if it was worth going fishing during the stormy weather, I had a lot of people on the fence. Some said, "the fish are already wet" others said, "don't waste your time." Being that these were my only days off, I decided to take my surf rods to the 61st Pi...

Using my "fish gut" instinct, I would probably say yes. Anything bloody and fish-like, would probably be good for reds or sharks. Sir.
