I don't have all of the results, but Scott (Let's Go) won. He had a pretty monsterous set of fish. There were only 10 slams total.

The winning team was Team TKF.

Just think, without oil we wouldn't have soft plastics or monofilament!

Without Natural Gas, we probably wouldn't have electricity to run our computers.

YIKES! That means we wouldn't be able to fish or waste our work days on TKF!

I know you're working on it, Arnold. It's just a goal to fish every event next season. Without a list of events it's likely that I'll be blind sided and stuck at work, a wedding, or some other lovely event besides competing with a rod and reel in hand. What would be a nice start is: 1) Total number ...

I lost it out of the boat this weekend. It is a reel with a little crank thingy on the side, spooled with mono, and mounted on a graphite rod.

The reel was pretty scared up and the rod was missing a ceramic insert.

Give me a shout on my cell and we'll hook up.

we can only dream of the day when kayak tourneys are scheduled more than a month in advance. aahhhhhhhhhh, my little fantasy. That's not just your fantasy, Dean. I've been pretty critical and very vocal about that too. It should be called the "mainly retired old farts tournament" because they're th...

Sounds like you need to spend the $70 for a kayak cart, instead of carrying one.

Yep, peanut will burn. I loaned my burner to a neighbor and sure enough, I peek out the window and see flames running down the driveway. (Result of too much Bud Light) Apparently, they didn't know that you don't fill the pot with completely full with oil and then slide the bird down. It caught fire ...

Registering a kayak trailer in Tx

Well, now that we're at the holiday break, I'm working on the trailer. However, here's a question for those of you owning trailers. I assume that all trailers must be tagged in Texas. What documents did you need to provide for registering the trailer? I have a Certificate of Origin for the trailer. ...

As far as the fishbites controversy...If you are in the right area, doing the right things at the right times you won't need any "stink bait". I agree completely and I won't be using fish bites either. However this issue comes up repeatedly and no one gives a damn about clarifying it in the rules a...

I just don't see how something 100% man-made could be deemed natural. That just doesn't make a single ounce of sense. I guess following that rational, our Norton Bull Minnows that are man-made are disqualified too. If that ends up being the official ruling, then someone needs a dictonary stuffed in ...

Re: My new kayak trailer project

I am wanting to set-up the trailer with a 30-gallon plastic tank. (Located directly over the axles) Before each trip, I can sit the tank on the trailer and then fill it with fresh water before leaving the house. You may want to consider a baffled tank. That 250# of water sloshing around in the tank...

Thanks Newt, I had my eye on that kit earlier today. I'm pretty sure that'll be the one I decide to go with. I'm just waiting to determine which style of tank I get to make sure the setup will all work together. I just landed here in Missouri, so I won't have time to work on it this weekend. I can't...
