Re: Pic of the day

Great thread....makes LOTS of sense, but due to the fact that my mind is like a sieve, I'll have to resort to taking notes! Regardless, it won't keep me from trying....

Can't make it, nonetheless....where do you put-in, at the boat dock just over the levee on TCD? Anxious to see a report from you....with pictures of course!

You got my attention with the "barbacoa!"

That stretch of marsh look 100% celar water....was it, or was I looking at glare and reflection on the water surface?

If you get a chance, fish Lemon Bay, just up a bit from Rotonda West. I caught my best red there on a MirOdine lure.

Look forward to your reports.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm not to inclinded to trek through muddy slush for any distance. I had a bad experience in Lake Sommerville last white bass run season.

Happy Couple

From my 2012 Father's Day trip down to Goose Island State Park....took the long way around from Houston and came up through Aransas Pass. Stopped by Slowride and had a fine visit with Dean and Jennifer.

Re: Rawling's Bait Camp Matagorda

Thanks all for the heads up.

I suspect that the delta / marsh area on the west side of the canal is not recommended due to the amount of fresh water coming into that area, correct?

Rawling's Bait Camp Matagorda

Follow up on TheOldCoach's "DANG!" thread.... Folks familiar with this put-in point, located on FM 2031, south of Matagorda, here's a question for you... it appears that the bait camp is along the canal that parallels 2031 on the west side. Further south from the bait camp is a knuckle on ...

IMHO, aside from buying a kayak for fishing, you've done the next best thing....joined TKF. Read the threads, even the old ones. Let's just say the class is always in session! Also, visit the Fishing Reports section. LOTS of great information. Each report should contain details of the trip....time o...

I'm even leary of dangling my feet in the bays or marsh.

Life seems to have a higher value as we get older....or, at least we pay more attention to the possible dangers out there.
