If you get a chance, fish Lemon Bay, just up a bit from Rotonda West. I caught my best red there on a MirOdine lure.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm not to inclinded to trek through muddy slush for any distance. I had a bad experience in Lake Sommerville last white bass run season.

From my 2012 Father's Day trip down to Goose Island State Park....took the long way around from Houston and came up through Aransas Pass. Stopped by Slowride and had a fine visit with Dean and Jennifer.

I suspect that the delta / marsh area on the west side of the canal is not recommended due to the amount of fresh water coming into that area, correct?

I'm even leary of dangling my feet in the bays or marsh.

I dropped by Academy and found out that every single Paul Brown item on the racks are selling at $7.99!!! I even went back to that isle for a Daable Check!

Took me three days, but I finally made it to Academy this evening. Checked out the new store at Hwy 6 and Westheimer (Houston). Confirmed....they have the Paul Brown Fat Boys. Pricey rascals!! Shy of 8 bucks each. They have a good variety of both Original and Fat Boys. I'll prbably buy several....S...
