Re: launching/fishing galveston causeway bridge

I'd be in for it if anyone has a weekend date in mind? I've fished there twice before with some success. Winds this weekend are not looking good for open water.

Re: High Island 16th or 17th?

Im looking at the weather for Saturday the 17th as well. If the weather holds I'll be up for High Island. Might bring a couple of newbies if it looks to be pretty flat.

Re: Sea Rim - Friday's Report

Hope I can get him down there in the next couple of weeks if his classes cooperate. If we work something up I'll post it or we will grab onto someone elses post an...

If I can get all my work done in enough time to load the kayak before it gets too late I'll be hitting Sea Pony just after 6 then get on over to Sea Rim.

Depending on timing I would be interested. Might see if my son had time to make the trip as well if he can break away from college studies for a couple of days.

Re: McFaddin - Winter Fishing

Mythman - you are correct it was me. After about an hour my son was having problems with the waves and no visibility on the shore due to fog and was getting seasick. I talked with Adolfo as I passed him to tell him we were pulling the plug as chumming with breakfast is a poor way to enjoy fishing. G...

Re: Is there any interest in a local TKF group meetings?

We tried one in Katy about 2 years ago and had several meeting but it never caught hold. Bass Pro was even letting us use their small classroom for the meetings and we thought that would get people interested. I'd be up for meeting once a month or quarterly if there was any real interest.

Re: Launch: Sportsman Rd. vs. 8 Mile Rd.

Its been awhile since Ive launched from that area but Sportsman Rd has signs posted and where you can and cant park. Ive found it easier to park at the end of 8 mile rd and paddle just a little further. I have not had any issues with vandals or owners in that area.

Re: Dec 30th, 31st, Jan 1st, 2nd (and possibly the 3rd)

For Christmas Bay I launch at Amigo lane then head SW. Hug the Southern shore then you will start to see a lot of PVC sticking up to mark oyster and dropoffs.

Where is Salt Lake I dont believe I have been there?
