Long-nosed, but we did catch an alligator gar. They were extremely aggressive in the heat... As soon as the perch head hit the water they were running with it.

No gator training but I did sign a fairly lengthy waver that probably forfeited liability of gator, bear, beaver, or hyena attacks.

I only dragged twice, but I never had to get out. The river is pretty low right now but totally floatable. You just have to paddle more because the lack of current. I wouldn't suggest mirage drive only because there are some shallow spots and random trees/boulders, but then again, I've never used it...

This is the only shuttle service for the Trinity River. It's on a decent stretch of river south of Lake Lewisville that is very clean. I know there is a tube shuttle service you can use for kayaking on the Brazos near Milsap. I haven't tried it out yet.

Definitely going to depend on the size of water you're fishing. I don't know much about fishing BTB or how these boats handle in surf, but the Wilderness Systems Ride 135 is worth looking at. Spend the extra $100 and buy the Ride 135. Tracks much much better than 115. You will greatly appreciate the extra room and tracking later. Trust me!!!
