Re: Matagorda Rig Question
MWatson71: if you want to catch sharks then go to High Island beach (corner of 87 and 124). Launch from the beach go out about 1/2 mile you will catch 3 types: bull red, sharks and gafftops.

New pedal kayak maker
There is a new pedal kayak maker in Houston that they have a big discount for pre-order for near half price. Check out the video of Robert Field… I think he is the rep of this Kayak company. The pre-order discount will last couple days and then it will go full price. https://www.indiegogo.com/projec...

Late season
Drove to down to CC and spent 2 days to fish out at Mayan Princess rigs. Saw about a five kayakers on Friday afternoon and a dozen kayakers in water on Saturday. The condition was perfect with low wind and low waves but Could not find any kings or no hearing any radio chatting on king hookup. :( Que...

Re: Fish storage while offshore
Try this fish bag cooler. It will fit most kings.
https://a.co/d/7FVctwE
It’s length is 50”…. Most kings would fit inside.

Re: offshore gear question
It is depending on the target species.
40# braid can take a little longer to bring the fish in if it is a big fish or strong fish.
8’ rod length is a little long for offshore unless he likes to cast top water lures. 7’ is the average length.

Re: Transporting 15.7' kayak
Agreed about using the ladder rack is making more sense (unless the kayak is too heavy like Pro Angler). Because sticking out so far from the truck bed will be more difficult for parking at restaurants or public parking.

Hey, just found this device on internet … rather interesting and it can fit the purpose. Website: foceyse.com Solar powered hummingbird fountain. The diameter is about 5”. Still don’t know if the internal components will last in saltwater or not. It needs to touch the seawater level before it can pu...
