Re: Trout guys, quality or quantity?
no desire to keep any trout, that's just me tho. And I love them rubber lips!!! I'd go with quality and my goal is to catch one this winter 26" or above. I don't fish for them much but will study up and try and hit my goal. My PB is 25" and that was off a plattform last year. I thought it ...

Open invite for them to put me on the show. I'll bring pfd's for everyone. I try and stay out of it because doing the right thing seems to blow up in your face. But I agree 1,000 percent. Wear your pfds!!!!

the mahi and tuna were from Kroger. We had planned on having that, then I caught the flounder so we just did the sample platter. Sorry for the late response.

Re: Bed extender question
I love traveling this way. No wind or drag, easy single-hand loading and unloading. I used magnetic trailer lights ($12 at Northern Tool), though zip tied them and shortened the wire leads when I got them where I like them. and mostly ratchet straps - one from the front hooks of the truck bed to ea...

Re: Ride 135
I would not recommend a tarpon for btb. Can it be done yes, but I wouldnt do it unless it was ice cream conditions. I have never felt unsafe or unstable in my Ride 135. Very comfortable, have caught redfish up to 44" and a shark close to five feet. I only go when the surf is relatively calm but...

Re: Are kayak lessons necessary?
I'm certified and not only was it a really fun class but i learned lots of stuff. I learned the draw stroke and thought i'd never use it. I was wrong, I've used it plenty of times. Re-enrty in a kayak can be easy for some, but in certain conditions and under shock/stress can be challenging. Having p...

fish grips have worked well for me, but I can see how the gaff could come in handy. My net is large enough to scoop most of them up as well.

Re: Sat, Oct 10, McFaddin Assault
I was out there on Saturday as well. Paddled out until I found shad popping on the surface. Wasn't too far out, maybe in 7-8 feet of water. Caught 2 bull reds back to back early in the morning then it slowed down. Best bite was from 9 AM to 11 AM using mullet heads. Ended up with 8 bull reds by 11:...
