Re: Catch flounder w bacon????
My grandson caught a 9 lb catfish couple of weeks ago at a private lake. We used nasty 'ol chicken livers. The catfish sure liked it. We liked them too. Deep fried.

Nice report. Will be much better when the temps drop enough for them to start moving. Heck of a long shift for fishing. You must have a lot of energy to fish for that many hours.

Nice video. Have been on a couple of trips in Galveston with my fly rod and Superfishal. Haven't had any luck as of yet. That should change when the fall weather arrives.

Re: Which Costas Sunglasses for Sighting Redfish in Skinny Water
Thank you so much for your suggestions. I had always heard amber was very good. After the salesman showed me his chart I was more confused when I read green for flats fishing. With varying sun light conditions playing a big part in the decision I'll just have to hope for the best. Mucho money to spe...

Which Costas Sunglasses for Sighting Redfish in Skinny Water
An opportunity has come up to purchase some Costas sunglasses this weekend at a great discount but I need some help. To fly fish for redfish in skinny water I need to know which is best, green or amber. I have heard 580’s are the choices to use. Any help and information would be greatly appreciated....

Re: Redfish Frenzy in the Marsh
TrailChaser, I glad somebody caught fish today. Those are really nice. My last three outings, including Galveston State Park this afternoon, has yielding me nothing. Low tide from noon to 3 during a major today there was nothing but bait being spooked by birds and my kayak. I'm getting frustrated an...

Re: Fishing Salt Lake Again
Thanks for the report. I have wanted to scout and fish that area for some time. Looks like a good fishing area but have heard there are few alligators further up the potholes. That's why I'm guessing it's closed, for nesting grounds for the gators.

Surfpunk, you da man. Nice catches from your posts. I'm going to hit it tomorrow with the low tide. Did pretty well Saturday 2 1/2 weeks ago when we had that really low tide. Mainly went to scout the structure of one of my local spots. After an hour of finding holes and some deep areas I decided to ...

I love fishing out of my T160. For me the Phase 3 seat is very comfortable. The rudder was a must for much easier rowing and maneuverability. Wanted to be able to stand and sight fish too so I order a stand and fish. First kayaker I met on the water showed me his cool bimini. Said “Dang, I had to ha...

Re: TROLLING MOTOR ON A KAYAK
Last year I wanted to add a TM to my Tarpon 160 for some distance fishing. Went to TP&W and registered the kayak. Rigged the TM with a heavy battery. Went ok but felt it was a little too much weight and didn’t turn easily with the TM mounted to one side. For some time have been considering the T...

It's on. Will be my first night fishing in the kayak also. Will definitely have an anchor light, head light, and PFD.

Re: Hit the Hunchback jackpot.
Chris at Serious Tackle told me the "smaller" Hunchbacks were on sale because they were being discontinued. The large purple/yellow color was being discontinues and that's why it was in the sale bin.
