Cibolo Creek
I plan on hitting up the Cibolo creek in Schertz, near the San Antonio area, tomorrow if anyone is interested in going. Haven't decided if I want to do the AM or PM fish. Up for some suggestions. I hope the water level is safe enough to navigate through some of the rapids. I've been a few times this...

Re: New Member in San Antonio
Im from North SA and fish a lot of small ponds, rivers, and creeks. Majority of the time I have my dog with me so I wont be hard to spot. If anyone wants to meet up, PM and we can set something up. Been fishing for a while and been kayak fishing for about a year and a half. I'm usually on the water ...

Re: Hello
I'm always wearing my PFD. Its about safety more than anything. I consider myself an outstanding swimmer, but I still wear my PFD. I've been kayaking for awhile and I still make it a priority to put my life vest on. I bought the NRS Chinook and I don't want to ever take it off. I love it and probabl...

Re: Kayak Fishing San Antonio Area 4/15/2017
Had a great day on the water. Something came up, so couldn't go fishing Saturday the 15th but ended up going on Easter the 16th. Thought every place was going to be packed, which most of the big lakes were packed. I found a pond that had people but mostly bank fisherman. At one point, I was the only...

Kayak Fishing San Antonio Area 4/15/2017
Anyone up to do some kayak fishing tomorrow in the 210 area? Wanting to stay within the 1604 loop and probably a smaller body of water since people will be out full force for Easter. Open for suggestions on places to launch. I'll probably stay out until mid-afternoon.

Re: Anchor rope holder
I don't do this... But I have seen some people with a quick release for your anchor line. Once you hook on to a fish you can release the anchor rope and you are free to fight the fish as you need. I would definitely add a float to your anchor line so that you can easily come back and pick up your an...

Re: Whats a good kayak rack for my Jeep Wrangler Unlimited?
I have a hardtop 2 door 08' wrangler x. I put my ascend fs12t in the inside no problem. Used to have a pelican apex 100 and that fit like a glove. Don't have to lift it or worry about a trailer. I put the backseat down and the front passenger seat forward all the way, then I slide the kayak in upsid...

Let me know if you need a partner. I have also used the Livery. Used to be the $5 spot until it gained more popularity. I fish around that area a lot. Just haven't explored too much of the guad yet.

Re: Short Rod Joy
One of my favorite setups is a Pflueger Presidente Ultra lite. It is 5' and one piece. I take that setup everywhere with me. It is so versatile, and I use it constantly. Rods pulled in a 5 lb bass. I have it spooled with 8lb braid and I have caught so many fish. Definitely my favorite spinning combo...

I would also like some advice on this lake as well. Should be going out there Friday or Saturday, and it will be my first time out on that lake.

Re: Anyone been to Medina lake recently?
I was out there Sunday morning/afternoon. Caught 9. 3 dinks and 6 legal keepers, but I always practice catch and release. The topwater at Medina wasn't so great early in the morning. Only caught one on the spook junior.

Re: Lake Boerne is a true test of fishing patience...
Been to Boerne a few times, and I can say that it is a cool little lake. I would recommend, since the water is so clear, "match the hatch". That should increase your bite ratio.

Re: Meet ups at Braunig
Let me know if you need a tag along. I want to fish the lake also, just need someone to accompany me, as I don't want to go out kayaking by myself as that has already proved to be dangerous.
