I am thinking of playing hooky tomorrow and getting down there myself. But the forecasts are kinda mixed. Oh well, may just go down and surf fish for a while if nothing else.

Glenn, That is truly a most memorable trip. I have heard of a couple makos caught from the beach in TX (Oz's fish comes to mind), but never one from a yak. So very cool. That bull shark was also a BEAST. loved the footage.

Now that I am hearing there is a weigh in, I am little concerned. I have to get more infomation. Considering the numbers of redfish we have been catching, and the fact they are all oversize, A Bull Red tourney where the fish are weighed at the beach gives me the impression that the fishermen involve...

This sounds like alot of fun. My son has a Baseball Tourney that weekend (but Saturdays are just pool play with Sunday being the actual tournament), so I may have to miss the Sat games.

I have been thinking the same thing since I caught my fish. I have e-mailed the folks who contacted me to see if there is any interest in setting up a program to supply some of us with tags to tag our HI BR's. I for one would not mind tagging some fish.

Yup, sounds like a reel maintenance/tackle rigging weekend for me too. Just ordered some Carbontex drag washers from Smooth Drag and hope they arrive before the weekend so I can install in the Saltists and Penn Spinfishers.
