Re: Low Tide Red

Weird trip, they wouldn’t commit to the usual spoon, top water or paddle tail. But attacked the gulp with fury. Also my boots died so i taped them on...lol https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180726/959255850b406f9c59dd702589862b44.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180726/d59b2358a28e5284cff2a8...

That's good to know. The area has always been a prime spot for people with fewer means, including me and my family growing up.

Re: North Sabine

I know...isn't it amazing...areas we've fished all our lives now require permit in addition to license? And these are areas that families without boats/kayaks often fish as they are accessible. So surprised to see.

Hi all, not a lot happening on this forum, but just wanted to say that I miss reports and observations and comments from members of this group, even though they might not be about fishing reports. Re: Sea Rim Trip Advice

If you are there, you might consider fishing the surf also for bull reds and sharks. Pick up some bait at Sea Pony in High Island and have a blast. And, be safe.

Re: Bolivar Peninsula Family Vaca - TIPS?

That stretch of Bolivar is wickedly famous for bull reds not far from the beach...just a little gear and you have great fun. And don't forget about the marshes on the south side of the peninsula for redfish and black drum.
