Beach Access signs vandalized fm3005

Post by fishcat »

Was on the West End this past Thursday and noticed almost every brown Beach Access sign along fm3005 between the Seawall and the GISP looked like they'd been smashed down, but stood back up again. Most signs are dented, some folded almost in half, and a few were still leaning almost down to the ground. My immediate guess is an irate and/or drunk beach house owner. Really doubt it was just some random Cool Hand Luke (parking meters) type of attack. Disturbing incident amid the escalating tension between the Texas Open Beaches Act, and those who would prefer to sieze public beaches for their own private fiefdom.
