Boat Loader

Post by bowgarguide »

I decided to build me a little assist for loading my yaks,I fish alot alone and make short trips ,so I wanted something that was easy to load and unload.
I built this over the weekend and think it is going to be a keeper.

I still like latches and padding but it is much easier to load.

Interesting concept. There was a woman who was coming to the marathon races that had a huge, very tall van. Her husband had also built a boat loader for her. I hate to admit it but I'm getting to the point where I wouldn't mind having a boat loader....

...or a lighter boat...

Gerald
The Jeep is tall ,I had to really stretch to load the boat. This keeps the lifting down low.
Sure helps

The easy way is hard enough. Looks good.

I really like that...............it seems to me that it would not take much of an engineer to take the thing one step further and add a hydraulic tube or two and make it completely self loading..............

It really isnt that hard to pevit up but if I need to I have a small 12 volt electric winch that you could rig.
Be just a push of a button then
