Re: Cobra Re-Vision
I have a re-vision. It paddles well and it is a really well-made boat.
Edit, In addition to my earlier comments:
For pure surfing, it is a bit long (13') but it can catch a ripple getting you on the wave very early. It is, however, a very long kayak so carving is the word of the day. If you want to spin and do quick cut-backs, use a dedicated surfing kayak. And when you flip it on your head it hurts. I'd love to trade it for a strike or one of the smaller surf kayaks.
As for paddling, she is fast. I really haven't had any issues keeping up with other kayaks at all.
In short, it does everything well. I have a hatch in the back, thigh straps, and a mid-height seat. Leakage is no problem. I get MAYBE a couple tablespoons of water surfing all day.

Sorry, got interupted by one of those pesky customers in mid sentance. Was just wondering about your size. I'm a pretty heavy guy, I would like something that would turn instead of side slip.
