Mike did you catch anything?
That would be a nightmare for me, I don't dream such a big fish at the end of my line, not yet ...

Mike did you catch anything?
Yes, I caught enough of these to get stabbed three times in the leg and foot.
a
And one of these, that I have about 15 minutes of video that I am preparing to post sometime.
Nice shark MM. That thing took you for a ride. I loved seeing it give you a bath. Even from 200yds away when it spalshed you we could tell it was a good one.
Mike: I assume those gafftops were eating big baits? I have caugh some trophy sized ones at HI before. Nice job on the shark!
Johnny: holly crap brother, way to make it happen with that monster! Glad to hear you have all your toes!
Obviously I know sharks eat BR's, seen enough battle scars.............but I was just contemplating the amount of effort it takes to pull in a BR or a shark......................you are pulling in a shark that has a BR IN HIM! (yeah the pull is more than the weight but the extra weight of a BR is no joke!)
I've caught small sharks when reeling in Tourist Tarpon before (that were hitting top waters) but not a BR!
Sorry I missed your call, got your msg and tried to call you back. I guess this is what you were going to tell me. Congrats on a nice size bull. Wish I was there to see the action. Better recount your toes and wash your drawers really well.
Wow that Bull is a beast and a blast at the same time. Looks to be a little bigger than my PB so congrats are in order all around!!!! (not that I'm special) LOL
Great job boys.
Wish I could've made it out there. The shark would have been icing on the cake for the story. I had an appointment in Houston at 11:30 and knew there was no way I'd make it back if I went over to HI. I ended up just doing a quick surf wade off of Galveston. One huge jack and zero trout.
Thanks for all the congrats. The shark was definately a blast and will be hard for me to beat. I still can't beleive how fast this thing pulled me and the kayak.
A specail thanks to MM for letting me ride along or this would have been a beast I never saw.

Here you go MM! Thanks for posting my Pic! I appreciate the help with the back up anchor. With out it, I would have had a short day.
It was a pleasure fishing with all of you, thank you all! I'm looking forwards to the next trip! Great job everyone!
Next time I go out with anyone,(If you all don't mind) I will be taking more pictures and doing more filming. So after a any trip I will gladly put together a video for that day.
Was a fun trip - but I left before it got really exciting. There was one trout caught down the beach from us in a cast net - big fat one too - about 6am. I hit the water hard right after that, but didn't get a bump.
Thanks for the loaner pfd MM - and the hunk of mullet. It was the head of that guy that I caught my BR on - and that was the biggest one I have caught. Didn't get a pic or size on him because he decided to jump out of the boat right after I got the hook out and I was in no shape to argue, but he was sure fun. Dragged me and my 15 pound test line all around the guys for about 5 minutes.
This was a great post!! Congrats to Johnny A. and to all on the Bull Shark caught. I wish I could have been there but it was great to read all the reports of what happened. You guys had a great day!! I'll be out there soon.
