Re: New Jackson Kayak Cuda
what kind of format are you saving the photo to? I can't view it here it at work because of the format. Is there anyway you could post some in a normal jpg file?

I can't imagine that yours is too far behind. I was kinda surprised to see that mine was already on the dock at 9:00AM and ready for me to pick up.Cadiyak Sam wrote:Sweet 8 lb 7 oz baby Jesus!! Now I really can't wait any longer... hope I get mine in soon too!

ohh okay that's why I can't see them because the dang firewall blocks photobucket and it's pictures. I'll have to wait until i get home! I bet it looks pretty sweet though!
Re: New Jackson Kayak Cuda
Element, that is one fine fishin' yak. Plenty of storage, deck space and some extra room for a beer or two. The multiple seat positioning is a plus. Very nice
Re: New Jackson Kayak Cuda
Nice chair. Where did you get them?
Re: New Jackson Kayak Cuda
Congrats on the new yak. Just had one question. How comfortable is it sitting side saddle

What chair, the ones on the Kayak? They are the seats that come with the yak. They are called the Elite Seat and they are designed with the yak hull to have multiple placement for high and low seating depending on your preference and the conditions you are fishing in that day. On calm water and really on not so calm water the high position is great for comfort and visibility. On windy days with a lot of waves and swell you can drop the seat in the Low position for more stability. And let me tell you, they are super comfortable. The longest I spent in the seat was about 12 hrs when I did an overnight fishing under the full moon. You can adjust the angle back to recline and get pretty comfortable when you are anchored down. You just have to try not to fall asleep.

I need those pints when I'm drilling holes in my kayak that isn't even a day old yet.Cadiyak Sam wrote:It comes with a nice "pint holder"
And yes the new cup holder is actually pretty cool. It has the bungee to actually keep your bottle or pint in place when rocking around. The cup holder int he Coosa was pretty worthless really since it was nothing more than an indentation to set your cup in rather than actually hold it.

Yeah, I always feel a little ping of hesitance when drilling or making modifications to my yak, but it usually works out well. That boat looks incredible man. I keep looking at your page over and over. Where is yours at now? It has to be close to being delivered.
For your sake I hope you get the call to pick it up today or tomorrow so you can get it on the water this weekend.

hows that thing ride? speed wise? I just bought a demo tarpon 160 from TG's and wish i would have waited another week. Couldnt justify spending the extra cash but the more i think about the seat it all seems worth it

Re: New Jackson Kayak Cuda
I took it out yesterday in probably the worst conditions I have ever been in on the water. Super windy and pretty good swells. But the Cuda was smooth and fast. The rudder option helps you steer and drift quite nicely. If I would have on my Coosa in those conditions yesterday I would have been cursing left and right because I would have been whipping around in the wind like a flag. But I must say that Jackson really made this yak for open water. I'm extremely happy with it.
If you haven't seen on the other forums yet, it is a super lucky yak too. Check out my first catch on the new yak.

Not sure where it is, but I'm going to call them right now. What is that thing? Looks like a gar or porpoise.
Just got off the phone with them, and mine isn't coming in on this run. I ordered the lowland camo one, so I guess that's why. That sucks big time!!

That sucks but hang in there, it is well worth the wait.
The fish is a Black Drum that looked to measure about 40".
Re: New Jackson Kayak Cuda
Very nice first fish could not think of a better way to break it in. Those Cudas are NICE YAKS, I will be looking at them very hard in the near future.

Ahhh I see it now. I thought the footwell was a snout or something. Yeah, I've waited this long, no sense in getting overly anxious at this point. Thanks for the pics, they give me something to look forward too. Tight Lines

When I click on the picture link, it takes me to the website just fine, but the video is not loading correctly. Here's a screenshot:
I'm using Firefox, fully updated, but am using various popup blockers and anti-spam/phishing plug-ins, so maybe that's it.- elementfiftyfour

Oh well, it is just a video of me holding the fish up. It is quite obvious from the video that it is a Black Drum. Nothing to be too concerned about.Cadiyak Sam wrote:When I click on the picture link, it takes me to the website just fine, but the video is not loading correctly. Very nice, good catch too. How does it handle offshore? It has some very nice pluses.
