It has been 15 months since my stroke and the last time I paddled.
Friday Rev TCF, my baby bubba, met me at Texoma Friday to chase some stripers. We didn't catch anything but being on the water again with my brother was rewarding enough.
Best guess is we paddled around 3 miles or so in a 12 mph wind and I made it. A few blisters and some sore unused muscles screaming at me but I'm back in the saddle.
Never under-rate family time. Especially over cheeseburgers after the trip. I am blessed.
Next up, my oldest son and some good ole bassin.

Thanks Roo, think I just missed you at High Island a few weeks back. Saw MM and visited with him a few minutes. He seemed to think you were on the water.Roofish wrote:preacher, that is Fabulous that U r back. I lost my Mom 2 a storke Dec 1st, so I wish U the very Best

Re: Broke my 15 month absence
It was a lot of fun seeing him back in that Cape Fear.
He handled the paddle like a champ. the bacon cheeseburgers after were really good!!!
Love spending time with my brother.
Side note, my son and I went back yesterday and wore out the stripers.
We both caught at least one over 24".
