Post by trouttracker »

Any one have the problem of there seat and other smelling. I have always rinsed my stuff off after each trip and letting it dry before putting it away. But I have noticed lately it is starting to smell. what should I do or use to get rid of the smell.

But seriously after you rinse it if you can leave it out in the sunshine for a few hours to dry before storing it the sun will kill also of the bacteria that might be causing those smells.

Sorry about the ribbing Donald!

Simple Green and Water seem to work. I only rinse with water unless the yak is full of slime, every 4-5 trips give it a good washdown.

One source of smells can be the inside of your yak, give that a nice rinse evey now and again (I also use simple green for that).

I only have a problem with my shoes smelling after damp saltwater feet. Lol or that random finger mullet that jumped in the yak while fishing the mud.
