New to Kayak fishing

Post by Jack Cactus »

Hello Yall, new to kayak fishing, got my Ride 135 back in July and have fished close to home a number of times. Joe Pool, Lake Arlington. Have been having a lot of fun and learning as I go. I have been lerking in TKF before I got my kayak so I learned alot about the selection process for a fishing kayak and set up for fishing. Seems to be a great group of folks and looking forward to learning even more. Yall have a good one.

Also hope this Chapter forum is live, it does not look like Brazos valley is active.

Welcome to the kayak fishing world!

Um, this chapter is sort of up and down. Most of us up in north Texas spend time on the Texas Fishing Forum down on their Kayak Section.

On September 29, we're having our annual Fall Get Together at Lake Grapevine more info HERE. Hope you can make it, my last count was around 80 yakers showing up.

Thanks for the tip, I will check out that forum as well, and try to make it to Lake Grapevine on the 29th.

BTW, I have the new Ride 135 myself. It makes a great fishing platform.
