Re: lure i made

Question..on a popper is it possible to point the hook to the top making it more weedless or is the weight of the hook too much...

Re: lure i made
I guess weight could be inserted into the underside of the poper....
Re: lure i made
yes it could but you would have a hole in the bottom but a plug or a rod could be used to fill the hole then sanded down i was going to try that out with some rattlesawoodman wrote:I guess weight could be inserted into the underside of the poper....

Those are really nice. I particularly like the “Jaws” and “Grasshopper” ones. Artfully done. The two on the top right, have you tried them yet? Also, the one on the lower right, does it run straight, or does it have any wobble like a Rat-L-Trap? How do you shape them?
Great job!

yes i have tested them they work great. i have not had a chance to use the Rat-L-Trap one. i made that one just to see how would work in the water also to try something different than a popper i hope it works. i use a drimmel tool with the sanding drums for the shape, round drimmel cutting bit for the mouth, finger nail file for the hand sanding, and 500 grit paper for the slickness, sharpies for the paint, wood burnner for the lines and shapes, and a two part appoxy for the clear coat (two coats) each coat takes a day & 1/2 to dry.
