Hi all
Oktoberfisch is a yearly event , put on by the Fredricksburg Fly Fishers , (F.F.F.) everytime at this year. It is held on the bans of the LLano River, at Morgan Shady R.V. park. It is a three day event , with numerous classes available for both fresh and salt water anglers.
Saturday nite we have a Steak Dinner , Breakfast tacos in the mornings
We run a shuttle service to various drop offs, up the river and you will be able to paddle back to the R.V. park.
At nite we go around to visit with friends and talk about the days fishing or events. The Lllano is a beautiful river to fish, and it is not unusual to have 50-60 fish days.
We have been lucky and have made some great friends at these events , we have just heard that two ladies will be comming backm one fron MIssouri and the other from Ark.
Type in Oktoberfisch in your search engine for more info and pictues from last year.
I will be in site 5 this year , come by and say hi , and sit around the camp fire. Don

Any restrictions on the type of kayaks? I'd hoped to break in my new Liquidlogic Mist 9.5. It's a SINK, but fairly maneuverable for a flat bottomed kayak. Not like the whitewater yaks back home,but I'm too old for Class III water.

Oktoberfisch is a great event. There are folks there with yaks, float tubes, kick boats, canoes, and some that just bank fish or wade. You can learn a lot about the sport of fly fishing and spend time with some great folks at this event. http://www.fredericksburgflyfishers.com/oktoberfisch/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I've been wondering the same thing. Haven't seen him around the area in a while nor on here. I lost his number when my last phone died.

Howdy gang ....... I'm still around, just not on TKF much any more.

We're all at Oktoberfisch right now as I type this, and it's shaping up as one of the best ever. Tons of FREE casting instruction will really put a polish on your skills whether you're just starting or been at it a while. Best $60 it is possible to part with, no better value in the universe.

Why on Earth would anyone ask if there are restrictions on the type of kayak you can use?????????????????????????? :shock: Not raggin on anyone, just curious where it came from??

HI ALL
wANTED To GIVE AN UP UPDATE ON Oktoberfisch , it has been great. The fishing on the upper Llano River, has been exceptional. I took ladies out and dropprd them off, for a (ladies only) fishing excursion. It was one of those 100 fish days we all dream about. And they have the photos to prove it. lol
The new owners of Morgan Shady R.V. park are a great family, who have bent over backwards , to make sure , we have had a pleasant trip. I highly reccomend this place. :clap: lockjaw_tx
P.S. Anybody who we kept up with our late nite partying, you shold have came and joined us. lol
