Anyone been out lately?

Seems like the sandbass/hybrids are ez pickings in the rivers and creeks. Thinking about trying out a new place... Any suggestions? Thinking east of DFW, maybe Naconiche for bass... but not sure.

I'm trying to convince the Mrs to a trip south to the salt. Still trying to replace the beach house. Got a lot with a slab that I'm trying to steal, on the ICW 100 yds from the East Bay. Hopefully I can chase some Reds and Trouts while I'm there.

I think all the popular spots for sandies and hybrids are probably wall to wall right now. The latest on Rowlette Creek is it's so crowded by bank fishin that a yak can't get through.

The salt sounds fun. Been staying away from the crowds, and finding more sandies than I want to catch. Left the spots the last few trips that were thick with them in attempt to find some hybrids/striper. Ready for some new scenery though. Thinking around Tyler / Carthage area. Haven't been that way in awhile... other thought was maybe a stretch of the Brazos I haven't seen in a bit.

So are you looking at building a new place down south?

Went out to West Fork Trinity above Eagle Mountain and got skunked. I think the runoff and cold front shut the bite down.

Should be heading to the coast April 13-14.

We don't own it. We lease it yearly, and have so for about 15 years now. It's nothing fancy, perfect for a long weekend trip.
