Galveston Causeway Saturday Night? 6/22

Me and my buddy are fishing the Galveston Causeway Saturday night. Anyone else going to be out there?

I may be there what time do you guys plan on launching and coming back? Also how long of an anchor rope do you need to fish the causeway?

Depending on anchor 30 to 50 will be more than enough. Bring 2 anchors just in case it gets stuck and you have to cut the line., bring a knife as well.

i only carry a 25ft rope and tie my anchor with a zip tie on, if it hang, just yank and it break free. causeway is only 5-10 ft in most area, the deepest which is the main channel ship run through is about 20-25ft (i dont ever fish there).

Correct. The >30ft will depend on the anchor size, type, and weight. I had folding 3# anchors that I lost out there. gerARGH loaned a mini me folding anchor 1# and I had to give all 50ft to hold me in place instead of dragging.

Close to the center of the main channel has been more productive for me
