Next up is Seadek for the cockpit, stickers, and paddle holder.

Of you don't want to fool around with installing a paddle clip you can use the bungee from the side tackle box holder as a paddler holder...works well

Thanks, but I installed a taco paddle clip I had laying around last night. I got over drilling holes in a yak, 3-4 yaks ago. Its all done with exception of some Seadek in the cockpit and Yakattack and other stickers. I installed the following.

STS
Anchor Trolley
Ram rod holder
Stake Out Pole Clip
Visi Carbon Light
Wilderness Side Board with transducer arm
Rudder
Hatch cover
Paddle clip

Not yet, maybe today. I paddled one before I purchased and this is my 5th kayak and I love the open layout like the hybrids I have owned or my current PA12. I plan to use it for fishing the salt flats primarily, but it should be great for shallow water trips on area lakes too.

Looks sharp. I've got to wait till the end of the month before my yak makes it in. Going to be a long wait.

I like mine a lot and it has been great in the shallow water. I mainly fish the salt and can't complain about anything on this boat other than the sound that comes from the front scuppers.

She is ready for her first slime. A little windy, so we will see how it goes, but a good first test.

A little windy?? that looks flat compared to what I get ever time I show up at the lake....if my 12 can take it, I know that 14 can. Looks great. I need to get some STS for the Mariner...I know you have heard me knocking around in there like a bull in a china shop.

You may want to look into Seadek too. They dont have a kit out for the mariner yet, but can do one with some templates. STS is good too.

The wind did calm down and the kayak performed very well. I love it!

I saw that Seadek template for the 12 foot Slayer. Are the 12 and 14 decks the same dimensions?

BTW Great looking kayak. I am going to do something really similar to your build!
