Downtown and TPWD are having a family day or something on the river by the art center. There is going to be a kayak area so folks can try various kayaks out and we need a volunteer or 3 or 4 between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m... Even if you can only help for a couple of hours.
If you can help us out, call our San Angelo State Park Superintendent, Kurt Kemp at 325-277-6348

Re: Volunteers?
How about I'll do a special Longhorn/Bison/Wildlife Viewing tour with whoever volunteers? It can be any day, Tues-Saturday and they can bring their family and friends. They will just have to pay the $4 per adult park day use fee.

It is today from 8- 3.. They need someone for an hour or so here and there. I did get permission from Kurt to give a Bison/Longhorn tour to anyone who volunteers. The tour includes your family members and friends (even if they don't volunteer). We're even going to see if we can waive the day use fee of $4 per adult for the tour.
