High Island BTB - Saturday - Dirty Pelican

A few of us are meeting Saturday 12th at High Island to fish BTB. Will find the best place to launch between the Slabs and Dirty Pelican.

All are welcome..................so post up if you want to join and we will coordinate launch time and place.

You can try it out! I've been looking for a good forecast day to try them BTB. I am going to switch out the outboards for the trolling motors tonight. I'm not ready to risk that yet! I'm really looking forward to fishing with you guys again. My time with Trey is getting short. He goes off to Stephen F. Austin in a month so I am thankful for a good Saturday forecast!

Got a report from Capt. HH and Rafter who fished Dirty Pelican on Friday...............between them they caught 17 sharks and 2 gafftops.

Most sharks were 3-5 ft with a couple of bigger ones.


So, unless someone has a whole lot better idea, I think I am going to Dirty Pelican on Saturday. Lots of parking and fairly decent weed at the launch beach.
