Hit your local marsh early a couple of weeks leading up to the season opener and do some prelim scouting. Just remember to bring a pair of binos with you so you can see where birds are getting up from and where they are going. 2 ideal habitat/hunting ground features are food and fresh/brackish water ponds. Nice thing about early teal is they come into calling great.

I have been hearing reports of early birds around the state. Good sign, but still too soon to tell how the season will shape up. Need an extra front or two to help push some down.

Saw quite a in the corpus area the past 2 weeks. A lot more than I was expecting. Hopefully my New A400 gets some good workouts before the big ducks and geese come down!

From what I can tell by shooting it so far is it is super sweet. Haven't put any big shells through it yet to see how well that Kick-Off really works. I'm happy I can put an extension on it to for conservation season this year. My A300 maxed out at 4 shells...... Those leave quick.

Early reports are good. Had a buddy run some areas yesterday in a PB and said he saw a ton. I have an itchy trigger finger already.
