McFaddin or HI BTB - Friday 8th

If the weather and wind/wave predictions hold, I plan on fishing somewhere at HI this Friday.

Currennt predictions are 1 ft. surf with less than a foot offshore waves, single digit winds and air temps 65°'s+.

After fishing this past Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and getting skunked, I am taking a short break from fishing, lol. I fished inshore but it wasn't far from HI. As a matter of fact, I went across East Bay and was almost at Rollover at one point. I hope you guys do much better than I did. Tight lines!

According to MSW wind/waves just took a slight turn for worse.

Wind predicted to hit 10-15 mph by 9 am. Surf still at 1 ft but offshore waves 1.1-1.6 ft.

The good news is the air temps are now close to 70°'s.

Still doable just a little rougher than originally predicted.

Strong outgoing current 6am to 11 am and strong raising current 2-8 pm. Low tide at 1 pm.

I think I will try to launch at daylight.

I think I will wait until noon or afternoon to make a final decision.....................current predictions are right at my winter tolerance cutoff.

I am in for Friday, too. The Crystal Beach cam looks a whole lot better than the Galveston cams.\

I am going to shoot for getting to the beach 7-8 am.
