It's understandable in today's scientifically advanced world, that there are many who have no interest in faith based institutions. Yet, one who demeans, in any way, those who do diligently practice a religion, is proof positive that they are not all that convinced that there is not something far greater than themselves.

I am one of the growing number of unaffiliated US citizens. I am a member of no organized religious institution. Yet, when cruising by kayak through some particularly beautiful backwoods, back bay area, how can anyone look around and conclude that this magnificent complex conglomeration of animal and plant life, "just happened".
