Fun watching them swim. Daughter gave this to me for Christmas.

That's nifty. I was a more serious tyer I would like to have one.

I have no idea how much she paid for this, I hope not too much . I actually enjoyed watch the flies swim and will likely use it again.

My daughter is a sometimes hunter and purveyor of feathers and fur and hooks me up with some nice feathers and materials for tying. She harvested some drake wood ducks this season and plucked some flank feathers for me. I’m also getting some guinea fowl feather from her. I think she has some beaver fur for me as well. I’ve looked up how to tie Matuka style streamers and the beaver caddis.

She and I did two days of high altitude fly fishing in New Mexico this past October. Fun even if the fish aren’t so big.
