Port O’ Connor hovering just above 45°. What’s the danger zone for trout? 45° I believe. https://asmfc.org/species/spotted-seatrout
Hope all the trout are deep in some river.

Water Temperatures
Re: Water Temperatures
A friend posted a picture of a dead juvenile Tarpon (probably from Christmas Bay complex) just now.
Re: Water Temperatures
I've been watching the water temps at Rockport and Port Aransas tide stations, and the lowest temps I've seen are around 52 degrees. The temps didn't drop quickly, and this area has lots of channels, and deeper water. I'm pretty sure we won't see any fish kills. There have been some cold-stunned turtles reported per the news. Hope it doesn't get too cold in the upper coast. Friends went kayak fishing yesterday, and with the very low tides, they found lots of reds in the AP Aquatic Center, caught a 22 and a 27. TexasJim
Re: Water Temperatures
Yeah it’s not good. This is a system that can do harm given temps are already pretty cold.karstopo wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2025 8:54 am Next week’s forecast looks awful.
