Isn't that when you're out of beer?
Beer is like liquid bread: the fresher it is, the better it is. That's one reason why I generally drink St. Arnold's. Brewed about two miles from my house.
BTW I have become a St. Arnolds Root Beer addict. It's like liquid crack and I've found it doesn't kill my buzz like regular beer.

It's kinda like your kids - how do you pick a true favorite?
A few nominees from my recollection:
Spaten Oktoberfest
Spaten Optimator - my best friend was born in Germany and exposed me to this brewery. About half or 3/4 of one of these and I was looking for someone to take my keys
Celis White - used to be brewed in Austin, haven't had one in years but believe they sold out. This brew had a strangely compelling taste and funky cloudy look - wish I had one about now...
Best beer name (after a day fishing the Laguna Madre):
Speckled Trout Stout - SPI, South Padre Brewing Company
Best Norm line from Cheers (drawn from memory, not verbatim):
"Hey, Mr. Peterson, Jack Frost nipping at your nose?"
"Yeah, now let's get Joe Beer nipping at my liver!"
