Hot Texas Shrimp

Post by Mikeflies »

Like hot wings...only better.

4lbs of med/lrg sized shirmp with heads still on or you can take them off if you prefer.
6 large bottles of Texas Pete's hot suace. (5 used, 1 extra)
2 sticks of melted butter.
Garlic powder.
4 Lemons
Creole Seasoning
Corona Light (may be replaced by your favorite cold beer, but will be needed)

Pre-heat oven to 350.
Take and place shrimp in a foil baking pan. Cheap ones used for turkeys.
Cover shrimp entirely with Tx Pete's Hot sauce, usally about 5 bottles.
Cut 2 lemons in half and squeze the juice from them into pan with shrimp.
Pour in melted butter.
Cut 2 more lemons into round slices and place over the shrimp.
Sprinkle Creole seasoning and Garlic powered to taste over entire pan.
Cover pan with foil & Bake for 45mins.

To eat them, remove shrimp from the pan and eat like you peel'em shrimp.
Also, left over sauce can be used as dip with bread.

Hope you enjoy, but remember to have cold Corona Light ready to help cool off your mouth. :P

We tried it last nite. I only used two pounds and I overcooked the shrimp. The wife and daughter really liked it.
