I used to think that, too, until my friends and I had a tequila tasting party, and did some fun experimenting. I did a double-blind test, and people genuinely liked the herradura anejo and Antigua Cruz anejo (both about $40) best in the margaritas. I found that Xalixco reposada, a bargain at under $15, though, came in a close 3rd.Cubera wrote: pay more, wasting you're money.
I will probably always stick with the Xalixco from now on - tastes much more expensive than it is. (I used to use Sauza).
